My Sunday Evening Ritual
So every Sunday evening from 5pm, I join the Koinonia experience online with Apostle Joshua Selman.
Heard of him? Okay just go to YouTube and check him/the ministry out for yourself.
Initially when I started (my younger sister Chisom introduced me to his teachings), I would join in with my tablet, so as to leave my phone free for scrolling on social media, preparing content for the week and what not.
Oh and I would be blessed at the end of the service, definitely, but I knew I wasn’t getting the best of the time spent.
You know what happened 2 weeks ago? My tab screen crashed.
That meant that if I wanted to join Koinonia, I had to use my phone (didn’t want to bother with laptop), since I like to move about.
So for the first time, last week Sunday, I attended the service from around 7pm when the Apostle started teaching to past 10pm with my phone. I had no choice than to listen with my 100% rapt attention and even take notes, because there was nothing I could use to distract myself anymore.
I can’t adequately put the experience into words. It was out of this world!
I was on a high when the service ended, still on a high as I type this, and will be joining with my phone from now on.
And the lesson I got from that, which I’d like to share with you is that our lack of focus may be diluting our efforts or the results we are hoping to see.
If you want to see better results, you have to weed out your distractions.
Not only the distractions, but the trigger points to the distractions.
Are you with me?
Let me use myself as an example: the trigger point that lets my distractions in, is my love for fiction books.
No matter how busy I am, I always have time to read fiction. You know what that means? It means that sometimes, I spend the time meant for more productive work reading fictional stories that never happened, haha.
So mama, what is your own trigger point? Identifying it will go a long way in helping you develop the discipline to achieve the things you really want to.
This week, I hope we will have the discipline to FOCUS.
Wishing you the best of the week!
Talk to you soon.
Your cheerleader,
Riri of the most high.

Our lack of focus may be diluting our efforts.... that struck a chord! Thanks so much for sharing. And thank you for all your insightful letters and nuggets. Love them all. PS- Apostle Selman is a blessing to our generation and such a gifted teacher
Apostle Joshua is a blessing!
Have a blessed week ahead too Riri!
I couldn't vote on the poll. Don't know why.
Please keep sending in your newsletters every other day. I love love reading them.
